This shift also marks the moon reaching its peak on the horizon in its sidereal rhythm, after which it will descend daily for the next two weeks. This descent influences life below the soil’s surface, making it an ideal time to transplant or sow vegetables that benefit from enhanced root growth. In the Southern Hemisphere, however, the moon’s sidereal rhythm takes on the opposite effect. From this perspective, the moon reaches its lowest point and begins its ascent, creating ideal conditions for tasks like chopping wood or taking cuttings, as lower moisture levels in plants support these activities.
