Biodynamics places the farm and the human between the earth and the cosmos. The plant most clearly embodies this balance, with its roots anchoring it to the ground and its flowers reaching for the sun. Today, the planet Mars transitions from the constellation of Taurus to Gemini. In the cosmic realm, this shift can be seen as Mars moving from an earthy constellation to an airy one, symbolically linked to flowers. On earth, we can compare this to the contrast between quartz crystals, with their cosmic qualities, and cow manure, which is deeply earthy—both vital components in biodynamic spray preparations. Thus, within the cosmos, we can perceive the earthly, and on the earth, we can also perceive the cosmic.
