The moon rises in the constellation of Aquarius, lengthening its stay and bringing an impulse of innovation. In biodynamics, we use preparations to enhance the vitality of our plants and soil, following Rudolf Steiner’s guidance from his 1924 lectures. We can also create our own compost teas tailored to our garden, using nettles, comfrey, willow, or other available materials. Many gardeners burn problematic weeds and then disperse the ash in the garden. The minerals in the ash return the essence of the weed to the soil, helping to subdue any resurgence of the same weed. This process is akin to a form of gardening alchemy.
